Heer ka Punjab: Precisely Picturesque

In the words of Waris Shah :
"Can any poet sufficiently praise Heer’s beauty?  Her face shines like the full moon.  Her eyes are like the narcissus flower.  Her lips are like red rubies. She is tall and straight like a cypress in the garden of Paradise. Her hands are smooth and soft like a chinar leaf . In short, her features are  like a beautifully calligraphed book."
My interpretation of Heer, Sarson ke Khetton Main.

Proud Moment :')

So this post isn't to boast about my achievement but rather it is to tell you a little bit about my life.
Today I received a mail which went like this:

And it goes without saying that yes I was jumpy and excited and teary eyed on receiving this. Why? Now that is exactly why I'm writing this post here today :)
So why this exhibition means so much to me besides the fact that it is the most awesomest festival ever is the fact that I've quite literally visited Kala Ghoda Arts Festival almost every year or at least ever since the time I was old enough to understand the festival and enjoy the sessions and the Art displayed there!
So I went there with my Mommy and here's a few pictures of her there at the fest from a few years back!

It's her who gave this BLOG the name it has. It's she who has given most of my albums the name they have. She's my go-to person for all the photographs I need reviewed before they go up on my FB Page. While, the other sister of mine is the make-up artist and stylist  for all my photo-shoots, Mommy is the one I sit and discuss all my ideas with.
So all I am saying is that I am glad I have her. And this one's for you!
Thank You.
<3
Also, Thank You Viewers for being such a brilliant audience and helping me through all my doubts and worries I have.
I would love to have you people visit my and my photographs at the exhibition.
Happy Viewing!
Love.

Hello Sun, Hello Moon!
Dadiji! She turned 75 yesterday! :)
The lines on her face don't reflect her age, They reflect the times she's lived and survived through, the memories she's made and the woman she is.
Just the "local" bar we went to...
On our way to the Golden Temple.
The Sun makes everything prettier!
The keepers at the Golden Temple.
The Golden Temple.
Rickshaw!
On our way to Wagah Border.

The Festival of Lights: Precisely Picturesque

Diwali is known as the festival of lights because people light up their homes with clay lamps known as "Diyas" and also hang a row of lanterns from their ceilings all of this to mark the end of evil and the triumph of good over bad. There are several mythological stories associated with Diwali, one being that people lit Diya's to welcome Rama after he returned from his exile of 14 long years. Now people burst firecrackers and light up their houses and also make "Rangolis" just outside their houses. Every person goes and spends time with their family and close relatives. Some people even prepare sweets which they then distribute among their loved one's. I hate the pollution but I love this Festival!
So here I am writing and blogging about this very festival the way I see it.
Happy Viewing!
